Title: App connection error after update to v26.04 on Samsung Galaxy A11 5G

Hi everyone,

After the recent update to v26.04 (build 32302), the Interviewer app is failing to connect to our server and showing this error:

“The response received does not appear to come from the Survey Solutions server. This is usually caused by a network proxy, firewall, or security gateway intercepting the connection.”

Some key details:

  • Newly purchased Samsung Galaxy A11 5G tablets, bought for upcoming field work

  • Affects multiple tablets across different networks

  • We tested the app on an Android phone last week before the update and it worked fine, so the issue appears to have started with v26.04

  • Tried reinstalling, clearing cache and data, different Wi-Fi and mobile networks

  • Tried reducing security settings on the tablets including DNS settings and app-level security measures

Is this a known issue with v26.04, or possibly a compatibility issue with newer Samsung devices? Any help appreciated as we have field work coming up!

almost certainly you have made a mistake of updating the interviewer application without updating your server first. This can result in all sorts of negative consequences if you continue.
