In our implementation we want to provide information to the enumerator on the history of the products using colored labels to smoothen data collection efforts. Unfortunately (unlike for other questions), the designer tool ignores/skips the color coding; it is gone after going to another question.
True. Color formatting is not supported in roster title elements since they are used to reflect the questionnaire structure (also in section titles, sub-section titles, questionnaire title). These elements will be used in the table of contents and will be colorized automatically to reflect the COMPLETED/ERROR/TODO status of the corresponding group of questions (Green/Red/Blue).
Not sure what “history of the products” is, but, perhaps, it is best to reflect it with a meaningful keyword, such as:
[=====NEW=====] Bread, white, wheat
[===UNKNOWN===] Potatoes, red, imported
[==COMPLETED==] Water, plain, bottled
%STATUS% %rostertitle%
and define STATUS as a calculated string variable inside the roster element.
