Support alternative OSes via .NET Core

headquarters

Having the Headquarters application ported to .NET Core would allow running it on alternative OSes (most notably Linux) thus reducing server cost, allowing for dockerized setups etc. What interests us especially is the ability to run SurveySolutions in parallel on a single server with certain data analysis tools which do not support installation on Windows (i.e. Apache SuperSet and CartoDB).

I know this is potentially huge but in any case Microsoft are pushing .NET Core and are somewhat neglecting traditional .NET recently so porting may become necessary in the mid-term and when you are doing it anyway I would like to ask you to please consider supporting installations on other OSes.

We are working on that right now. No ERD as of yet. Multiple instances on a single server might come sooner (but for Windows only).

Thanks for thoughtful suggestion.
