I am writing to report an issue we are experiencing with the Survey Solutions Supervisor App. Our supervisors are unable to see the interviews submitted by an interviewer in the Supervisor App, even though the interviews are visible in Headquarters.
The sync process appears to have completed successfully on both the interviewer and supervisor devices, yet the interviews are not appearing in the Supervisor App for review or approval. This is affecting our workflow and monitoring processes.
Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue, and provide any recommended steps for resolution?
Supervisor application is intendent to be used for mobile groups working in the distant areas.
When the connectivity is a problem.
The whole team could go offline and Supevisor accumulates team’s work and ocationally synchronizes with the server.
All Interviewers devices could directly communicate with the Supervisor’s device (horizontal synchronization).
If you have no issues with connectivity, work with the server is preferable. Supervisor should log in to the server using web interface and work with data on Headquarters.
After the synchronization of the interviewer tablet with the supervisor tablet is successfully completed, the interviewer has no way of returning back to direct communication with the server.
If your interviewers are currently sending the data directly to the server, then the initialization has not been completed successfully.
Supervisor App is not a convenience tool for the Supervisor to read the interviews offline when she so desires. Using Supervisor App changes the way how data is collected and circulated by the whole team. The rationale for choosing it is often times the connectivity, as @Vitalii has explained above.
