For specific operational reasons, we would like Supervisors to use only the Supervisor App on tablets—to assign assignments to their Interviewers and to approve/reject work—without using the Supervisor web interface at all.
In our previous workflow, assignments created via the web application appeared on Interviewers’ tablets after synchronization. However, assigning or approving/rejecting directly from the Supervisor App on a tablet did not work—these actions were only possible via the Supervisor Web App.
That said, we once succeeded in enabling full functionality (assignment, approval/rejection, sync) using only the Supervisor App on the tablet, with Interviewers syncing offline with the Supervisor tablet (and the Supervisor syncing with the server). Unfortunately, we can no longer reproduce this configuration and can’t recall the exact setup (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth settings, installation sequence, permissions, etc.). All recent attempts have failed—tablet-to-tablet synchronization no longer works.
Current situation:
- One tablet is intended for the Supervisor.
- Two tablets are intended for Interviewers.
- The
Supervisor.apkandInterviewer.apkfiles are stored in the Download folder of their respective tablets, but none of the apps have been installed yet. - We aim for a fully tablet-based workflow:
- Supervisor uses the app to assign tasks, approve/reject work, and sync with the server.
- Interviewers sync only with the Supervisor tablet.
Request:
Could someone please provide a detailed step-by-step guide for setting up this offline synchronization scenario, including:
- Installation order (which app to install first, synchronization first),
- Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct settings (with one active or not and in with step)
- Supervisor App configuration,
- Interviewer App configuration,
- Any required permissions or connectivity settings,
- The synchronization process (Supervisor ↔ Server, Interviewer ↔ Supervisor),
- Any known issues or limitations.
This is quite urgent, and any prompt and minimum assistance would be highly appreciated.
