I was wondering if there is an option to reject a case in HQ but not have it return to the interviewer’s tablet. Currently, when I reject, the case is sent back to the interviewer’s tablet. I would like to reject it and leave it as rejected for the remainder of the study. Is there a way to do this?
yes, create an interviewer account ‘trash’ and after rejection reassign to that account.
Don’t give that account credentials to anyone.
Thank you very much for the quick response. I had not thought of this. Very helpful!
Additionally, if you anticipate the problem in advance, you can introduce [one or more] supervisor questions that would determine usability of the interview for different purposes, e.g.
- OK for population count estimation;
- OK for poverty rate estimation;
Then after export purge from the data those interviews that are flagged not usable for certain kind of analysis.
This links back to the feature suggestion from @klaus - Allow archiving interviews on the server
To enable HQ to properly trash interviews that are not wanted rather than having it as a post-export process
