📢 New release: Survey Solutions v26.06 has just been released!

We have just released Survey Solutions version 26.06!

This new version contains:

New feature: Assignment statuses (and correspondingly a new workflow of handling assignments). Note that this feature is turned on by default after an upgrade (but can be switched off if not desirable for a specific workspace).

Bugfixes:

  • Android application crash occurred related to an audio recording question;
  • Duplicate GPS coordinates were obtained in separate measurements; (mentioned i.e. in the forum here, here, and possibly here).
  • Map report was not drawing the map data (as mentioned here).
  • The assignment size changed event was not logged in the workspace audit log when it was done via Close (now Downsize) functionality (as mentioned e.g. here).
  • Geography data was exported as a Survey Solutions string despite selection of GeoJSON/WKTEXT (for some old questionnaires).
  • APPROVE button was disabled in the Supervisor App when it was expected to be enabled.

This update also fixes several less obvious glitches and security concerns.

Note also that Internet Explorer browser is no longer supported for web interviews.

Please note also that the GPS location acquisition on Android mobile devices (GPS location question, CAPI mode, on phones/tablets) is now done from the GPS (or similar) sensor, and not via alternative methods (such as WiFi network location, etc) which were found the reason for possible duplicate measurements.

This means that if your questionnaire contains a GPS location question, you MUST use devices that support location acquisition from satellite data, otherwise the measurement will be refused.
