Global search is great: Ctrl + H finds what I want.
But it could be better still. When paging through matches for the search, the right-hand details pane in Designer updates to focus on the search target. This is what I expect and want. But the left-hand tree of questionnaire objects does not fully update. Yes, it does display the section in which the search target can be found. However, it does not show the search target as the centered focus of the tree.
For large questionnaires, this can matter. First, to determine whether I’ve gotten the right search result, it’s useful to see the context in which the result appears–for example, which questions are nearby. Second, to act in the context of that question, it’s useful to be centered on the question rather than needing to scroll down to find the question/object in focus.

Scroll up/down, when needed, to find the search result in its questionnaire context.
Limitations
Don’t take “centered” too seriously. I just want the search result to be in the viewport.
