We have received the following question:
During previous conversation with the survey firm, we suggested that there should be a flexibility of stopping the interview when respondent is busy and come back to interview the next day. However, the firm said that they cannot write the script to stop the interview pick it up later. Is there any resources on this issue that I can share with the survey firm?
Any CAPI (tablet) interview in Survey Solutions can be interrupted (by simply exiting from it to the dashboard) whenever needed and continued later (by reopening the interview from the ‘started’ page). No special actions (no programming) are required for this.
Correspondingly, either the firm doesn’t know the basics of using Survey Solutions on a tablet or there is some important detail that makes them say this, but which is omitted from the question above.
