Error with package sursol

I got this error when using sursol package to download data from survey solution:

Warnings & Error messages displayed by R:
Error in curl::curl_fetch_memory(url, handle = handle) : 
  Failed to connect to localhost port 9700: Connection refused
Calls: GET ... request_fetch -> request_fetch.write_memory -> <Anonymous>
Execution halted

I apologize if my response is too late, but I wanted to address your question. You might be referring to the Stata package sursol that I created a few years ago.

I’m not actively maintaining this package, and I haven’t used the API-related commands for quite some time.

Regarding your issue, if I remember correctly, this problem occurred due to incorrect server-side settings based on feedback from other users. To troubleshoot, you could try the same job using one of the other API clients available. If you encounter a similar error, it’s likely an issue with the backend settings. In that case, please contact your System Administrator for assistance.

If the issue is specific to the sursol package, I would recommend using the other API client you tested as a workaround :slight_smile:
